Spender, Dale. Time and Tide Wait for No Man (London: Pandora, 1984)

A combination of anthology and critical study, surveying Time and Tide in its first decade, the 1920s. An introductory chapter describes the journal's foundation and development. Part 1, 'The Women Writers', introduces key 1920s contributors: Lady Rhondda, Robins, West, Cicely Hamilton, Swanwick, Holtby, Brittain, and Crystal Eastman. Selected political pieces from each author are reprinted. Part 2, 'The Issues', contains narrative accounts by Spender of the political and social concerns of Time and Tide illustrated with reprinted editorials, advertisements, and correspondence from the paper.
